The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will come over you rulers whom various matters will distract from the prayer until they delay it past its proper time. So pray it at its proper time."A man asked, "Messenger of Allah, if I catch the prayer with them, should I pray with them as well?"He replied, "If you wish."
