I saw Abu Qatada tilt the vessel for a cat so it could drink. He then said, "Are you surprised? The Prophet ﷺ told us that she is not impure. She is among those who go around among you, both males and females."

رأيت أبا قتادة أصغى الإناء للهرة فشربت فقال أتعجبين إن النبي ﷺ أخبرنا إنها ليست بنجس إنها من الطوافين عليكم والطوافات
Its isnad is sahih. Humaida is the daughter of Ubayd bin Rifaa Ansari, and Ishaq is her husband who narrates from her. Kabsha was mentioned before, and she is the wife of Abdullah bin Qatada. Both of them are trustworthy. The second one is said to have companionship [with the Prophet], and the hadith has already appeared at 22479.
