Abu Qatada reported,

Water was prepared for him to perform ablution, and a cat drank from it. He proceeded to make ablution with it, and they said, "Abu Qatada, the cat has drunk from it!"He replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The cat is part of the household. It is among those who go around among you.'"

حدثنا معمر بن سليمان هو الرقي حدثنا الحجاج عن قتادة

عن عبد الله بن أبي قتادة عن أبيه

أنه وضع له وضوء فولغ فيه السنور فأخذ يتوضأ فقالوا يا أبا قتادة قد ولغ فيه السنور فقال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول السنور من أهل البيت وإنه من الطوافين أو الطوافات عليكم
