The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I entered Paradise and heard the sound of footsteps before me. I asked, 'Who is this?' It was said, 'Bilal.' Then I went on, and I saw that most of the people of Paradise were the poor among the emigrants and the children of the Muslims. I saw none fewer in number than the wealthy and the women. It was said to me, 'As for the wealthy, they are here at the gate being held to account and scrutinized. As for the women, they were distracted by the two red things, gold and silk.'Then we went out through one of the eight gates of Paradise. When I reached the gate, a scale was brought, and I was placed on one pan, and my entire community was placed on the other pan, and I outweighed them. Then Abu Bakr was brought and placed on one pan, and my entire community was placed on the other pan, and Abu Bakr
outweighed them. Then Umar was brought and placed on one pan, and my entire community was placed on the other pan, and Umar
outweighed them. Then my community was presented to me one by one, and they began to pass before me. I found Abdul-Rahman bin Awf slow in coming, and he arrived only after I had given up hope. I said, 'Abdul-Rahman!'He replied, "May my father and mother be ransomed for you, Messenger of Allah. By the One who sent you with the truth, I could not reach you until I thought I would never lay eyes on you again except after times of grey hair."The Prophet asked, "Why is that?"He answered, "Because of the abundance of my wealth, I was held to account and scrutinized."
Its isnad is daif because of Mutrah bin Yazid, who is Abu Muhallib, who has come up with us frequently. It is found in Tabarani's Al-Kabir 8/281, number 7923. Haythami also declared it daif in 9/5 and 10/261. And in 9/59 he said, "It contains Mutrah bin Ziyad and Ali bin Yazid Alhani, and both of them are agreed upon as daif."Among what indicates the weakness of this is that Abdul-Rahman bin Awf was one of the companions of Badr and Hudaybiya and one of the ten.I say, his statement is open to question. First, the critics did not agree upon the weakness of Mutrah and Ali. Second, the fact that Abdul-Rahman's entry into Paradise was delayed does not preclude him from being held to account. Something similar will come regarding Ayesha.
