One day I came to Farqad and found him alone, so I said, "Son of Umm Farqad, today I must ask you about this hadith."I said, "Tell me about your statement concerning the earth swallowing people and stones being hurled from the sky. Is this something you say yourself, or are you reporting it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "No, rather I am reporting it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."I asked, "And who narrated it to you?"He said, "Asim bin Amr al-Bajali narrated it to me from Abu Umama from the Prophet ﷺ. Qatada also narrated it to me from Saeed bin Musayab. And Ibrahim al-Nakhai narrated it to me as well, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A group of my nation will spend the night eating, drinking, amusing themselves, and playing, then they will wake up as monkeys and swine. A wind will be sent against settlements among their settlements and will sweep them away as it swept away those before them, because of their treating wine as lawful, their beating tambourines, and their taking up singing slave-girls.'"

Its isnad is daif, because of Farqad Sabakhi. The hadith is sahih as narrated by Tayalisi (1137), and from him Bayhaqi in Shuab (2/153). Haythami mentioned it (5/75) and judged it daif because of Farqad, but he also mentioned corroborating narrations and many wordings.
