I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressing the people on the Farewell Pilgrimage while he was mounted on al-Jadaa, his foot resting in the stirrup of the saddle, stretching himself up as he spoke. He said, "Can you all hear me?"A man from the back of the crowd called out, "What are you saying?"He said, "Worship your Lord, pray your five daily prayers, fast your month, pay the zakat on your wealth, and obey those in authority over you, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."I asked him, "How long ago did you hear this hadith, Abu Umama?"He replied, "When I was thirty years old."
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب حدثنا معاوية بن صالح حدثني سليم بن عامر قال سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يخطب الناس في حجة الوداع وهو على الجدعاء واضع رجله في غراز الرحل يتطاول يقول ألا تسمعون فقال رجل من آخر القوم ما تقول قال اعبدوا ربكم وصلوا خمسكم وصوموا شهركم وأدوا زكاة أموالكم وأطيعوا ذا أمركم تدخلوا جنة ربكم قلت له فمذ كم سمعت هذا الحديث يا أبا أمامة قال وأنا ابن ثلاثين سنة
