The Prophet ﷺ said, "In the last days there will be people who are brothers in public yet enemies in private."Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, how will that come about?"He replied, "That is because of their desire toward one another and their fear of one another."

Its chain is daif because of Abu Bakr bin Abu Maryam, while Habib bin Ubayd is one of the trustworthy Followers, though there is doubt about his having heard from Muaz. Ahmad alone transmitted the hadith with this wording.
