We came to Muaz bin Jabal and said, "Tell us some of the rare hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He said, "Yes. I was riding behind him on a donkey, and he said, 'Muaz bin Jabal.'I replied, 'At your service, Messenger of Allah.'He asked, 'Do you know what Allah's right is upon His servants?'I said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'He said, 'Allah's right upon His servants is that they worship Him and associate nothing with Him.'Then he said, 'Muaz.'I replied, 'At your service, Messenger of Allah.'He asked, 'Do you know what the servants' right is upon Allah, if they do that?'I said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'He said, 'That He will not punish them.'"
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Sufyan is Talha bin Nafi, who has been mentioned many times before. He is trustworthy, and his hadith is found in the collections of the group. The hadith has already appeared with similar wording in 21890.
