Muaz bin Jabal reported,

I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ when he said, "Do you know what right Allah has over His servants?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "That they worship Him and not associate anything with Him."He then said, "Do you know what right the servants have over Allah if they do that? That He forgive them and not punish them."In Muamar's version of the hadith, he said, I said, "Messenger of Allah, shall I not give the people the good news?"He said, "Leave them to keep working."

حدثناه عبد الرحمن حدثنا سفيان وعبد الرزاق قال ثنا معمر عن أبي إسحاق عن عمرو بن ميمون

عن معاذ بن جبل قال

كنت ردف النبي ﷺ فقال هل تدري ما حق الله عز وجل على عباده قلت الله ورسوله أعلم قال أن يعبدوه ولا يشركوا به شيئا قال هل تدري ما حق العباد على الله إذا فعلوا ذلك أن يغفر لهم ولا يعذبهم قال معمر في حديثه قال قلت يا رسول الله ألا أبشر الناس قال دعهم يعملوا
