The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slept until his snoring could be heard, then he got up and prayed without performing ablution.Ikrima commented, "The Prophet ﷺ was divinely protected."
حدثنا يونس حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن حميد وأيوب عن عكرمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ نام حتى سمع له غطيط فقام فصلى ولم يتوضأ فقال عكرمة كان النبي ﷺ محفوظا
Its isnad is sahih. Humayd is al-Tawil, that is, Humayd bin Abu Humayd, the maternal uncle of Hammad bin Salama, and he is trustworthy. The compilers of the six books narrated from him. Ikrima's statement, "The Prophet ﷺ was...," is a preserved mursal report. This hadith carries the same meaning as no. 1911, see also 1912, 2084.
