The Prophet ﷺ looked out from one of the fortresses of Medina and said, "Do you see what I see? I can see places where trials will fall among your houses, as numerous as the places where raindrops fall."
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عروة
أن النبي ﷺ أشرف على أطم من آطام المدينة فقال هل ترون ما أرى إني لأرى مواقع الفتن خلال بيوتكم كمواقع القطر
Its chain of transmission is sahih, its narrators are well-known figures. It is found in Bukhari 3/28, in the chapters on the merits of Madinah and the fortresses of Madinah, and in Muslim 4/2211, number 2885, in the chapter on tribulations, the descent of tribulations. It has occurred many times before with similar wording.
