The Prophet ﷺ said, "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim."
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن علي بن حسين عن عمرو بن عثمان
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا يرث المسلم الكافر ولا الكافر المسلم
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are leading authorities. Ali bin Husayn is the son of Ali bin Abu Talib. Amr bin Uthman is the son of Affan.The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 8/194, in the chapter on inheritance shares, "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever", and Muslim 3/1233 no. 1614, and Tirmidhi 4/423 no. 2107, who said, hasan sahih, and Abu Dawud 3/125 no. 2909, and Ibn Majah 2/911 no. 2729, all of them in the chapter on inheritance shares, and Abdul-Razzaq 6/15 no. 9852.
