A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, the famine has consumed us."He replied, "Something else worries me more for you than that, that the world will be poured upon you in abundance. I only wish my nation would not wear gold."
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان حدثنا يزيد يعني ابن أبي زياد عن زيد بن وهب
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله أكلتنا الضبع قال غير ذلك أخوف عندي عليكم من ذلك أن تصب عليكم الدنيا صبا فليت أمتي لا يلبسون الذهب
Its chain of transmission is daif, because of Ziyad bin Abu Ziyad Qurashi Dimashqi, whom many scholars have declared daif. Nasai abandoned him, and Bukhari said he is a narrator of objectionable hadith. The hadith has already appeared at 21250 with a sahih chain of transmission.
