Abu Dharr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drinks wine, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty nights. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns to it, he will be in the same state."I do not recall whether it was on the third or the fourth occasion that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If he returns to it again, it becomes binding upon Allah to give him to drink from the mud of khabal."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is the mud of khabal?"He replied, "The pus that flows from the people of the Fire."

حدثنا مكي بن إبراهيم حدثنا عبد الله بن أبي زياد عن شهر بن حوشب عن ابن عم لأبي ذر

عن أبي ذر قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ من شرب الخمر لم يقبل الله له صلاة أربعين ليلة فإن تاب تاب الله عليه فإن عاد كان مثل ذلك فما أدري أفي الثالثة أم في الرابعة قال رسول الله ﷺ فإن عاد كان حتما على الله عز وجل أن يسقيه من طينة الخبال قالوا يا رسول الله وما طينة الخبال قال عصارة أهل النار
