Arak bin Malik reported,

Abu Dharr said, "I will be the closest of you to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Resurrection. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The closest of you to me on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who leaves this world in the same state I left him in.' And by Allah, there is not one of you who has not clung to something of this world, except me."

قال أبو ذر إني لأقربكم يوم القيامة من رسول الله ﷺ إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن أقربكم مني يوم القيامة من خرج من الدنيا كهيئته يوم تركته عليه وإنه والله ما منكم من أحد إلا وقد تشبث منها بشيء غيري
