An Arabi stood up before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, the drought has consumed us," meaning the year of famine.He replied, "Something else worries me more for you. It is the world, when it is poured upon you in abundance. How I wish my nation would not wear gold."

قام أعرابي إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله أكلتنا الضبع يعني السنة قال غير ذلك أخوف لي عليكم الدنيا إذا صبت عليكم صبا فيا ليت أمتي لا يلبسون الذهب
