The last verse revealed was "There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves" [Tawbah 9:128], and the rest of the verse.
حدثنا عبد الله حدثني محمد بن أبي بكر حدثنا بشر بن عمر حدثنا شعبة عن علي بن زيد عن يوسف المكي
آخر آية نزلت {لقد جاءكم رسول من أنفسكم} الآية
Its chain is hasan because of Ali bin Zayd. As for Yusuf al-Makki, he is Ibn Mahek, and he is trustworthy, his hadith being found among the group of six. The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 4/1850, no. 2380, and by Tabari in his tafsir, 11/53, in Surah Tawbah, by way of Shubah from him, and by Bayhaqi in Dalail, 7/139.
