A trade caravan arrived in Medina, and the Prophet ﷺ bought goods from it and made a profit of several uqiyahs of silver, which he distributed among the widows of Banu Abdul-Muttalib. He said, "I will not buy anything when I do not have its price with me."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا شريك عن سماك عن عكرمة
قدمت عير المدينة فاشترى النبي ﷺ منها فربح أواقي فقسمها في أرامل بني عبد المطلب وقال لا أشتري شيئا ليس عندي ثمنه
