The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "We had previously forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days so that there would be enough to go around. Now Allah has brought abundance, so eat, store it away, and seek profit through it. These days are days of eating, drinking, and remembrance of Allah
."
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا خالد عن أبي مليح بن أسامة
قال رسول الله ﷺ إنا كنا نهيناكم أن تأكلوا لحومها فوق ثلاث كي يسعكم فقد جاء الله تبارك وتعالى بالسعة فكلوا وادخروا واتجروا ألا وإن هذه الأيام أيام أكل وشرب وذكر الله تبارك وتعالى
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Bukhari 7/313, no. 3997, Fath, in the Book of Military Expeditions, and Muslim 2/672, no. 977, in the Book of Funerals. Also Abu Dawud 2/33, no. 3698, in the Book of Drinks, and Tirmidhi 4/94, no. 1510, where he said, hasan sahih, in the Book of Sacrifices, and Nasai 7/170, in the Book of Firstborn Offerings, and Ibn Majah 2/1055, no. 3160, in the Book of Sacrifices, and Tayalisi 2/386, no. 807. It has already appeared with similar wording at 11387 and 11268.
