Nabeesha reported,

I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "We used to offer the Atirah sacrifice in the days of ignorance. What do you command us to do?"He said, "Slaughter in whichever month it may be, honor Allah , and feed the people."I said, "Messenger of Allah, we used to offer the Faraa sacrifice in the days of ignorance. What do you command us to do?"He said, "For every grazing herd, there is a Faraa which your livestock raises. When it is old enough to bear loads, slaughter it and give its meat in charity." I think he said, "to the wayfarer, for that is better."

عن نبيشة الهذلي قال

سألت رسول الله ﷺ قلت إنا كنا نعتر عتيرة لنا في الجاهلية فما تأمرنا قال قال اذبحوا في أي شهر ما كان وبروا الله تبارك وتعالى وأطعموا قلت يا رسول الله إنا كنا نفرع فرعا في الجاهلية فما تأمرنا قال في كل سائمة فرع تغذوه ماشيتك فإذا استحمل ذبحته وتصدقت بلحمه قال أحسبه قال على ابن السبيل فإن ذلك خير
