He came to the Prophet ﷺ together with a companion of his, or two companions. One of the two companions was Ayub or Khalid. The Prophet ﷺ said to them, "When the time for prayer comes, give the call to prayer and the iqamah, then let the eldest among you lead, and pray as you see me praying."

أتوا النبي ﷺ هو وصاحب له أو صاحبان له فقال أحدهما صاحبين له أيوب أو خالد فقال لهما إذا حضرت الصلاة فأذنا وأقيما وليؤمكما أكبركما وصلوا كما تروني أصلي
