An uncle of mine told me that he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, teach me something that will benefit me, and keep it brief." Then he mentioned the rest of the hadith.
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن الأحنف بن قيس
وحدثني عم لي أنه أتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله علمني شيئا ينفعني وأقلل فذكر الحديث
