Jariya bin Qudama reported,

A man said, "Messenger of Allah, tell me something, and keep it brief for me," and he mentioned the hadith.Ali said, Yahya narrated to us that Hisham said this way, "I said, Messenger of Allah," though they say he did not meet the Prophet ﷺ, meaning Yahya bin Saeed says, "though they say."

حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد أخبرنا هشام أخبرني أبي عن الأحنف بن قيس

عن عم له يقال له جارية بن قدامة
