Abu Qilaba reported,

He related this hadith to me, then said to me, "Would you like to meet the one who related it to me?"So he directed me to him, and I came to him. He said, "A relative of mine called Anas bin Malik told me, 'I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding some camels of a neighbor of mine that had been seized. I found him eating, and he invited me to share his food. I said, I am fasting.'He said, 'Come close,' or he said, 'Come, let me tell you about that. Allah has lifted fasting and half the prayer from the traveler, and fasting from the pregnant and nursing woman.'"Anas would later regret it, saying, "If only I had eaten from the food of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he invited me to it."

حدثني بهذا الحديث ثم قال لي هل لك في الذي حدثنيه قال فدلني عليه فأتيته فقال حدثني قريب لي يقال له أنس بن مالك قال أتيت رسول الله ﷺ في إبل لجار لي أخذت فوافقته وهو يأكل فدعاني إلى طعامه فقلت إني صائم فقال ادن أو قال هلم أخبرك عن ذلك إن الله تبارك وتعالى وضع عن المسافر الصوم وشطر الصلاة وعن الحبلى والمرضع قال كان بعد ذلك يتلهف يقول ألا أكون أكلت من طعام رسول الله ﷺ حين دعاني إليه
