Two men from the Ashari tribe came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and began hinting at their desire for an appointment to office. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The most treacherous of you in my sight is the one who seeks it."

قدم رجلان من الأشعريين على رسول الله ﷺ قال فجعلا يعرضان بالعمل فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن أخونكم عندي من يطلبه
