The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "An orphan girl is to be consulted about herself regarding marriage. If she remains silent, that is her permission, and if she refuses, she is not to be forced."I asked Yunus, "Did you hear it from him, or did you hear it from Abu Burda?"He replied, "Yes."

رسول الله ﷺ تستأمر اليتيمة في نفسها فإن سكتت فقد أذنت وإن أنكرت لم تكره قلت ليونس سمعته منه أو سمعته من أبي بردة قال نعم
