The Prophet ﷺ said, "Charity is incumbent upon every Muslim."They asked, "What if he has nothing to give?"He replied, "Let him work with his hands to benefit himself and give in charity."They asked, "What if he is unable to do that?"He said, "Let him help someone in distress who is in need."They asked, "What if he cannot do that either?"He said, "Let him enjoin what is good."They asked, "What if he cannot do that?"He said, "Let him refrain from evil, for that too is charity."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن سعيد بن أبي بردة عن أبيه
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال على كل مسلم صدقة قالوا فإن لم يجد قال يعتمل بيديه فينفع نفسه ويتصدق قالوا فإن لم يفعل أو يستطع قال يعين ذا الحاجة الملهوف قال فإن لم يستطع أو لم يفعل قال يأمر بالخير قالوا فإن لم يستطع أو يفعل قال يمسك عن الشر فإنه صدقة
