Abu Musa Ashari reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will gather the nations on a single plain on the Day of Resurrection. When Allah wishes to separate His creation, He will cause to appear before each people whatever they used to worship, and they will follow these objects of worship until these lead them straight into the Fire.Then our Lord will come to us while we are standing in an elevated place.He will ask, 'Who are you?'We will reply, 'We are the Muslims.'He will ask, 'What are you waiting for?'They will say, 'We are waiting for our Lord .'He will ask, 'Would you recognize Him if you saw Him?'They will reply, 'Yes.'He will ask, 'How would you recognize Him when you have never seen Him?'They will say, 'Yes, for there is none comparable to Him.'Then He will reveal Himself to us, smiling, and will say, 'Rejoice, you Muslims, for there is not one among you except that I have put a Jew or a Christian in his place in the Fire.'"

حدثنا حسن بن موسى وعفان قالا ثنا حماد بن سلمة عن علي بن زيد عن عمارة عن أبي بردة

عن أبي موسى الأشعري قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ يجمع الله عز وجل الأمم في صعيد يوم القيامة فإذا بدا لله عز وجل أن يصدع بين خلقه مثل لكل قوم ما كانوا يعبدون فيتبعونهم حتى يقحمونهم النار ثم يأتينا ربنا عز وجل ونحن على مكان رفيع فيقول من أنتم فنقول نحن المسلمون فيقول ما تنتظرون فيقولون ننتظر ربنا عز وجل قال فيقول وهل تعرفونه إن رأيتموه فيقولون نعم فيقول كيف تعرفونه ولم تروه فيقولون نعم إنه لا عدل له فيتجلى لنا ضاحكا فيقول أبشروا أيها المسلمون فإنه ليس منكم أحد إلا جعلت مكانه في النار يهوديا أو نصرانيا
