Ammar reported,

We came as a delegation to Umar bin Abdul-Aziz, and Abu Burda was among us. He attended to our needs, and when Abu Burda left, he came back.Umar bin Abdul-Aziz said, "Remind the elder, what brought you back? Did I not attend to your needs?"Abu Burda replied, "Yes, but there is a hadith my father narrated to me from the Prophet ﷺ. He said, 'Allah will gather the nations on the Day of Resurrection,'" and he mentioned the rest of the hadith.Umar said to Abu Burda, "By Allah, did you actually hear Abu Musa narrating this from the Prophet ﷺ?"He answered, "Yes, by Allah, I heard it from my father narrating it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

عن عمارة القرشي قال

وفدنا إلى عمر بن عبد العزيز وفينا أبو بردة فقضى حاجتنا فلما خرج أبو بردة رجع فقال عمر بن عبد العزيز أذكر الشيخ ما ردك ألم أقض حوائجك قال فقال أبو بردة إلا حديثا حدثنيه أبي عن النبي ﷺ قال يجمع الله عز وجل الأمم يوم القيامة فذكر الحديث قال فقال عمر لأبي بردة آلله لسمعت أبا موسى يحدث به عن النبي ﷺ قال نعم لأنا سمعته من أبي يحدثه عن رسول الله ﷺ
