When Asma arrived, Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, met her on one of the roads of Medina and asked, "Is this the Abyssinian woman?"She replied, "Yes."He said, "What an excellent people you are, were it not that you were preceded in the Hijrah."She said to Umar, "You were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who fed your hungry and taught your ignorant, while we fled with our religion. By Allah, I will not rest until I mention this to the Prophet ﷺ."So she returned to him and told him what had been said. The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Rather, you have two emigrations. Your emigration to Medina, and your emigration to Abyssinia."
