Abdullah bin Abu Awfa reported,

Muaz traveled to Yemen, or perhaps he said Syria, and saw the Christians prostrating to their patriarchs and bishops. He thought to himself that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more deserving of such honor.When he returned, he said, "Messenger of Allah, I saw the Christians prostrating to their patriarchs and bishops, and I thought to myself that you are more deserving of being honored in this way."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded a wife to prostrate to her husband. A woman cannot fulfill her full duty to Allah until she fulfills her full duty to her husband, to the point that if he asked her for herself while she was on the back of a camel saddle, she would not refuse him."

عن عبد الله بن أبي أوفى قال

قدم معاذ اليمن أو قال الشام فرأى النصارى تسجد لبطارقتها وأساقفتها فروأ في نفسه أن رسول الله ﷺ أحق أن يعظم فلما قدم قال يا رسول الله رأيت النصارى تسجد لبطارقتها وأساقفتها فروأت في نفسي أنك أحق أن تعظم فقال لو كنت آمرا أحدا أن يسجد لأحد لأمرت المرأة أن تسجد لزوجها ولا تؤدي المرأة حق الله عز وجل عليها كله حتى تؤدي حق زوجها عليها كله حتى لو سألها نفسها وهي على ظهر قتب لأعطته إياه
