Zayd bin Arqam arrived, and Ibn Abbas would test his memory by asking him, "How did you tell me about the meat that"—Ibn Bakr's version says, "was gifted to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in the state of ihram," while Abdul-Razzaq's version says, "was gifted to the Prophet ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes. A limb"—Ibn Bakr says, "the leg, a limb"—"of game meat was gifted to him, but he returned it to the giver and said, 'We do not eat it, for we are in the state of ihram.'"

قدم زيد بن أرقم فكان ابن عباس يستذكره كيف أخبرتني عن لحم قال ابن بكر أهدي للنبي ﷺ حراما وقال عبد الرزاق أهدي للنبي ﷺ فقال نعم أهدي له عضو قال ابن بكر رجل عضو من لحم صيد فرده عليه وقال إنا لا نأكله إنا حرم
