Whenever someone brought the Prophet ﷺ the charity from his wealth, the Prophet ﷺ would invoke blessings upon him. So I brought him the charity from my father's wealth, and he said, "O Allah, send blessings upon the family of Abu Awfa."
حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة قال سمعت
كان الرجل إذا أتى النبي ﷺ بصدقة ماله صلى عليه فأتيته بصدقة مال أبي فقال اللهم صل على آل أبي أوفى
Its isnad is sahih. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari in 2/103 (Shab edition), in the book of Supplications, under the saying of Allah Almighty, "and pray for them" [Tawbah 9:103], and by Muslim in 2/756, in the book of Zakat, chapter on the supplication for one who brings charity, and likewise by Abu Dawud in 2/106, Ibn Majah in 1/572 no. 1796, and Nasai in 5/22.
