Abu Wahb reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Name yourselves with the names of the prophets. The names most beloved to Allah are Abdullah and Abdul-Rahman, the most truthful are Harith and Hammam, and the ugliest are Harb and Mura. Keep horses, wipe their forelocks and hindquarters," or he said, "and their haunches, and put collars on them, but do not collar them with bowstrings. You should choose every bay with a white blaze and white legs, or every chestnut with a blaze and white legs, or every black with a blaze and white legs."

عن أبي وهب الجشمي وكانت له صحبة قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ تسموا بأسماء الأنبياء وأحب الأسماء إلى الله عز وجل عبد الله وعبد الرحمن وأصدقها حارث وهمام وأقبحها حرب ومرة وارتبطوا الخيل وامسحوا بنواصيها وأعجازها أو قال وأكفالها وقلدوها ولا تقلدوها الأوتار وعليكم بكل كميت أغر محجل أو أشقر أغر محجل أو أدهم أغر محجل
