I saw Ammar bin Yasir enter the mosque and pray, and he made the prayer brief. When he came out, I went up to him and said, "Abu al-Yaqzan, you made the prayer very short."He replied, "Did you see me fall short in any of its essentials?"I said, "No."He said, "I hurried with it to outpace the distraction of Satan. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A servant may pray a prayer and have nothing recorded for him from it except a tenth of it, a ninth, an eighth, a seventh, a sixth, a fifth, a fourth, a third, or a half.'"

رأيت عمار بن ياسر دخل المسجد فصلى فأخف الصلاة قال فلما خرج قمت إليه فقلت يا أبا اليقظان لقد خففت قال فهل رأيتني انتقصت من حدودها شيئا قلت لا قال فإني بادرت بها سهوة الشيطان سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن العبد ليصلي الصلاة ما يكتب له منها إلا عشرها تسعها ثمنها سبعها سدسها خمسها ربعها ثلثها نصفها
