A man asked Umar bin Khattab about tayammum, and he did not know what to say.Ammar bin Yasir said, "Do you not remember when we were on a military expedition and I became in a state of major ritual impurity, so I rolled in the dust? Then I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, 'This much would have been enough for you.'"Then Shuba struck his hands on his knees, blew into them, and wiped his face and hands with them once.
