I said to Ibn Abbas, "I prayed the noon prayer at Batha behind a foolish old man, and he made twenty-two takbirs, saying takbir whenever he prostrated and whenever he raised his head."Ibn Abbas replied, "That is the prayer of Abu Qasim, peace and blessings be upon him."
حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن سعيد عن قتادة
قلت لابن عباس صليت الظهر بالبطحاء خلف شيخ أحمق فكبر ثنتين وعشرين تكبيرة يكبر إذا سجد وإذا رفع رأسه قال فقال ابن عباس تلك صلاة أبي القاسم عليه الصلاة والسلام
