The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade cupping and continuous fasting, though he did not declare them strictly unlawful, out of consideration for his companions.Someone said, "Messenger of Allah, you yourself fast continuously until the predawn hour."He replied, "I continue my fast until the predawn hour, but my Lord feeds me and gives me drink."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن سفيان عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى قال
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن الحجامة والمواصلة ولم يحرمها إبقاء على أصحابه فقيل يا رسول الله إنك تواصل إلى السحر فقال إن أواصل إلى السحر فربي يطعمني ويسقيني
