Abu Ishaq did not hear this directly from Bara. He reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a group sitting in the road and said, "If you must do so, then guide the way, return greetings of peace, and rescue the wronged."Affan said, "And help."My father said, Abu Saeed narrated it to us, saying, Shuba narrated to us, saying, I heard Abu Ishaq say, "Help the wronged."My father also said, Aswad narrated it to us, saying, Israil narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us from Bara, and he said, "Help the wronged."Likewise Hasan said, "Help," reporting from Israil.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر وعفان قالا حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق قال عفان قال أخبرنا أبو إسحاق
ولم يسمعه أبو إسحاق من البراء قال مر رسول الله ﷺ بقوم جلوس في الطريق قال إن كنتم لا بد فاعلين فاهدوا السبيل وردوا السلام وأغيثوا المظلوم قال عفان وأعينوا قال أبي حدثناه أبو سعيد حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت أبا إسحاق قال أعينوا المظلوم قال أبي وحدثناه أسود قال حدثنا إسرائيل حدثنا أبو إسحاق عن البراء وقال أعينوا المظلوم وكذا قال حسن أعينوا وعن إسرائيل
