A man was reciting Surah al-Kahf while his riding animal was tied up beside him. The animal began to start and shy, so the man looked up and saw a cloud, or a mist, that had enveloped him. He became frightened and went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this.I asked, "Did the Prophet ﷺ name that man?"He replied, "Yes."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Recite, so-and-so, for that was tranquility descending for the Quran," or "with the Quran."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق قال سمعت
قرأ رجل سورة الكهف وله دابة مربوطة فجعلت الدابة تنفر فنظر الرجل إلى سحابة قد غشيته أو ضبابة ففزع فذهب إلى النبي ﷺ قلت سمى النبي ﷺ ذاك الرجل قال نعم فقال اقرأ فلان فإن السكينة نزلت للقرآن أو عند القرآن
