Ubayd bin Fayruz reported,

He asked Bara about the sacrificial animals, what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden and what he had disliked.Bara said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said," or "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us, and my hand is shorter than his hand, and he said, 'Four kinds are not acceptable as sacrifices. The one-eyed animal whose blindness is obvious, the sick animal whose sickness is obvious, the lame animal whose limp is obvious, and the emaciated animal that has no marrow in its bones.'"I said, "I dislike that there be a defect in the horn," or he said, "a defect in the ear, or a defect in the tooth."He replied, "Whatever you dislike, leave it, but do not forbid it to anyone else."
