The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to straighten our rows as if he were aligning arrows, until he thought we had grasped it and understood. One day he came forward and was about to begin the prayer when he noticed a man whose chest was protruding from the line. He said, "Straighten your rows, or Allah will surely cause discord between your faces."
حدثنا بهز حدثنا حماد بن سلمة أخبرنا سماك بن حرب
كان رسول الله ﷺ يسوينا في الصفوف كما تقوم القداح حتى إذا ظن أنا قد أخذنا ذلك عنه وفهمناه أقبل ذات يوم بوجهه فإذا رجل منتبذ بصدره فقال لتسون صفوفكم أو ليخالفن الله بين وجوهكم
