Qatada wrote to Habib bin Salim about this matter, and Habib bin Salim wrote back to him that a man called Abdul-Rahman bin Hunayn, who was nicknamed Qurqur, was brought before Numan bin Bashir for having had relations with his wife's slave-girl.Numan said, "I will judge in your case according to the ruling of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. If she had made the slave-girl lawful for you, I will lash you one hundred times. If she had not made her lawful for you, I will stone you."He found that she had indeed made her lawful for him, so he lashed him one hundred times.

قتادة أنه كتب إلى حبيب بن سالم فيه فكتب إليه أن رجلا يقال له عبد الرحمن بن حنين كان ينبز قرقورا رفع إلى النعمان بن بشير وطئ جارية امرأته فقال لأقضين فيك بقضاء رسول الله ﷺ إن كانت أحلتها لك جلدتك مائة وإن لم تكن أحلتها لك رجمتك فوجدها قد أحلتها له فجلده مائة
