Adi bin Hatim reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one of you but his Lord will speak to him, with no interpreter between them. He will look to his right and see nothing but what he has sent forward, he will look to his left and see nothing but what he has sent forward, and he will look in front of him and the Fire will be facing him. So whoever among you is able to shield himself from the Fire, even with half a date, let him do so."

حدثنا وكيع وأبو معاوية المعنى قالا حدثنا الأعمش عن خيثمة

عن عدي بن حاتم الطائي قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ ما منكم من أحد إلا سيكلمه ربه عز وجل ليس بينه وبينه ترجمان فينظر عمن أيمن منه فلا يرى إلا شيئا قدمه وينظر عمن أشأم منه فلا يرى إلا شيئا قدمه وينظر أمامه فتستقبله النار فمن استطاع منكم أن يتقي النار ولو بشق تمرة فليفعل
