Mughira bin Shuba wrote a letter to Muawiya, which Warrad transcribed for him. In it he said, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say after the closing salam of the prayer, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise. O Allah, none can withhold what You grant, and none can grant what You withhold, and no fortunate person's fortune avails him against You.'"Warrad said, "I later went on a delegation to Muawiya and heard him from the pulpit ordering the people to say these words and teaching the words to them."

أن المغيرة بن شعبة كتب إلى معاوية كتب ذلك الكتاب له وراد إني سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول حين يسلم لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد اللهم لا مانع لما أعطيت ولا معطي لما منعت ولا ينفع ذا الجد منك الجد قال وراد ثم وفدت بعد ذلك على معاوية فسمعته على المنبر يأمر الناس بذلك القول ويعلمهموه
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Its narrators are trustworthy and well known. Ubada bin Abu Lubaba al-Asadi, their client, Abu Qasim al-Bazzaz al-Dimashqi, is trustworthy, and his hadith is found in all six books except Abu Dawud. And Warrad al-Thaqafi, their client, al-Kufi, the client and scribe of Mughira, is among the trustworthy Successors, and his hadith is found in all six books. This hadith has already passed in the hadith of Muawiya, shortly before.
