I came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned to him a woman I intended to propose to.He said, "Go and look at her, for it is more likely to bring harmony between the two of you."So I went to a woman from the Ansar and proposed to her through her parents, informing them of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said. They seemed to dislike the idea. The woman heard this from behind her curtain and said, "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded you to look, then look. Otherwise, I implore you not to," as though she found it a grave matter. So I looked at her and married her, and he mentioned how well-suited they were to each other.
