A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, we already know how to greet you with peace, but how do we send blessings upon you?"So he taught him to say, "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. And bestow favor upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed favor upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious."

أن رجلا سأل النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إنا قد علمنا السلام عليك فكيف الصلاة قال فعلمه أن يقول اللهم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما صليت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد وبارك على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما باركت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد
