The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to deliver a sermon and said, "People, false testimony has been equated with associating partners with Allah," repeating it three times. Then he recited, "Avoid the filth of idols, and avoid false speech."
Its isnad is daif due to the anonymity of Fatik bin Fadala, as previously noted with its chain and wording in 17535. We have already indicated the narration of Tirmidhi, 4/474, no. 2299, where he said, "Gharib." It should be added that it is also found in Abu Dawud with similar wording, 4/24, no. 3599, Ibn Majah, 2/794, no. 2372, Ibn Abu Shayba, 7/258, no. 3090, and Bayhaqi, 10/121, appearing in them with close wording and sahih chains.
