The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from visiting women whose husbands were away.

Its isnad is sahih. Its narrators are famous imams, and Abu Qays is trustworthy, his hadith is found with the whole group (of major hadith compilers). Bukhari related the hadith 9/330, no. 5232, in the chapter on marriage, "A man must not be alone with a woman." Muslim related it 4/1711, no. 2173, in the chapter on greeting, "the prohibition of being alone with a woman not related to you." Tirmidhi related it in the chapter on suckling 3/465, no. 1171, as a suspended report. And Darimi 2/441, no. 2782.
