Sahl bin al-Hanzaliyya al-Ansari, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, reported that Uyayna and Aqra asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for something. He instructed Muawiya to write a document for them, which he did. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sealed it and ordered that it be handed over to them.As for Uyayna, he asked, "What is in it?"Muawiya replied, "What you were promised is in it."So he accepted it and tied it into his turban. He was the wiser of the two men.As for Aqra, he said, "Am I to carry a document whose contents I do not know, like the document of al-Mutalammis?"Muawiya informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of what they had said. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then went out on some errand. He passed by a camel kneeling at the door of the mosque early in the day, then passed by it again at the end of the day in the same condition. He asked, "Where is the owner of this camel?" The man was sought but could not be found. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fear Allah regarding these animals. Ride them when they are sound and ride them when they are well-fed. As for the one who was discontented just now, whoever begs while having what suffices him is merely asking for more of the fire of Hell."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is it that suffices him?"He replied, "What provides him his lunch or his dinner."
